Itinerary

TOUR DESCRIPTION: This tour begins with the departure from the hotel in Palenque at 5:30 am. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure in the Mayan jungle.

At 7:30 am, we will take a break to enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast. After recharging our energy, we will continue towards the Corozal border, where we will board a boat to navigate the impressive Usumacinta River. This journey will last approximately one hour, during which you can appreciate the natural beauty surrounding this region.

Once we arrive at Yaxchilán, you will enjoy a 2-hour visit to explore its majestic ruins. This ancient Mayan site, surrounded by lush vegetation, is a true archaeological treasure, and you will be amazed by its unique architecture and rich history.

We will return to the border, where you will have time to enjoy lunch (not included). Afterwards, our tour will continue to Bonampak. There, we will spend 1 hour discovering another important Mayan site, famous for its impressive murals that depict stories from the classic era.

At the end of the visit to Bonampak, we will be transferred to a Lacandon camp in the community of Lacanja Chansayab. They will provide us with dinner and assign you a private cabin for the night.

After a peaceful and relaxing night in the wonderful Lacandon jungle, we will be given breakfast and head out for a walk with a native guide from the community who will take us on a tour of about 4 to 5 hours, where we will appreciate the flora and fauna of the jungle.

Upon returning to the camp, we will be served lunch and have some free time to swim in a waterfall that is near the camp, or simply take a break and wait for the truck to take us back to Palenque.

Finally, we will return to Palenque, arriving at the hotel at 8:00 pm. A day full of history and nature that you won't want to miss!
