Get ready for an unforgettable experience in the heart of Chiapas! At 09:00 hours we begin our adventure with a comfortable transfer from your hotel in San Cristóbal de las Casas to the Sumidero Canyon, a destination that defies imagination and connects visitors with nature at its fullest.

During the journey, we will admire the majesty of the canyon that is home to some of the most fascinating and endangered species, such as river crocodiles, spider monkeys, and ocelots. The beauty of this place is accentuated by the presence of the Chicoasén Dam, which is fed by the Grijalva River and creates an impressive landscape.

The boat tour will take us through the canyon for an hour and a half, allowing us to enjoy spectacular views and exciting moments. One of the highlights will be our approach to the iconic Christmas Tree, a rock formation that will leave us breathless.

Once our boat trip concludes, we will head to Chiapa de Corzo, one of the magical towns of Chiapas. Here, you can immerse yourself in the rich tradition and culture of this colonial site. We will learn about its history, which dates back to the 16th century, when it was the first city founded by the Spanish in the region. Strolling through its cobblestone streets is a journey back in time, where colonial architecture and a vibrant atmosphere create a unique experience.

Additionally, we will visit three of the most important viewpoints of the Sumidero Canyon. From these heights, we will witness the contrast between the sky and the impressive rock formations that surround the canyon, offering a unique perspective of the journey we have undertaken on the boat. (THE VIEWPOINTS ARE CLOSED ON TUESDAYS).

With memories filled with landscapes and cultures, before we say goodbye, the return to San Cristóbal de las Casas is scheduled between 18:30 and 19:00 hours. Make sure to have your camera ready to capture every moment of this wonderful day in the heart of Chiapas.
